Flayed Rabbits

 

Rabbits are a familiar animal that everyone has encountered; garden pest, childhood toy, science experiment, dinner and beloved pet. In Flayed Rabbits, I play with peoples’ expectations and emotions; peeling away the preconceptions and expose the unease of our relationship with rabbits and how we symbolize them. In the Flayed Rabbits the organ systems are embroidered on the skin of the animal.
